onOffice WP Plugin
Translation in onOffice WP Plugin
The following documents the implementation of a multilingual page with the onOffice WP plugin. The multilanguage plugin WPML(https://wpml.org/de/) is used.
WPML requires a total of 4 plugins:
- WPML Media
- WPML Multilingual CMS
- WPML String Translation
- WPML Translation Management
These are available for download in the account at WPML and can be uploaded via the WordPress backend.
After activation you will be guided through a short setup where you can configure the available languages, the language switch, etc. It is recommended to create the individual languages as subdirectories.
The easiest way to duplicate the pages for the other languages is in the Translation Management section for WPML and then edit them individually. The most important thing is that in each language there is the detail page with the shortcode from the onOffice plugin.
Since the onoffice-personalized folder is not searchable by WPML, you should copy the contained templates once into onoffice-for-wp-websites or the template folder contained there. Afterwards WPML offers the possibility to search the instance for strings to be translated using the theme and plugin localization . This is then done for the text domain onoffice-for-wp-websites (for older sites only onoffice).
The strings found are now displayed in the String translation area and can be translated there.
To translate pages where the templates for the real estate displays are in the theme, a theme localization within the active WordPress theme is sufficient. Again, the strings can then be translated in the String Translation section.
